For more than 50 years, Hope For Youth has provided services for children, youth and families, spanning a continuum of care from out-patient, clinical and preventive services, to foster care, diagnostic and emergency residential services. The organization works with children as young as birth through 21 across the Long Island region. With locations in Amityville, Bellmore, Farmingdale, Bay Shore and Seaford. The Farmingville Historical Society was formed in 1992 to preserve and restore the Bald Hill One-Room Schoolhouse. The Bald Hill Schoolhouse is a one-room Greek Revival Schoolhouse built-in 1850. The Schoolhouse served the Farmingville community until 1929. After 84 years of being closed, the Schoolhouse was re-opened in November 2013 to educate the community through a virtual one-room schoolhouse course, student field trips, history speaker presentations, and other historic events such as the Trick or Treat Historic Candy Trail.

The Children's Community Head Start Birth-to-Five Program is a federally funded comprehensive early childhood educational program serving income eligible families in 13 school districts in central Suffolk County, NY. The Children’s Community Head Start is a program of Community Program Centers of Long Island, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization. The don8toins team donated plant-based soups and bread to the families at Head Start for several months.
